Last night in Nova Granada was very nice. It was exciting to see the town again as we get ready to jump in with both feet tomorrow there and spend most every minute there for the rest of the week. The all out work for the VBS team starts tomorrow! It is awesome - some of the kids have been asking the medical team who is coming and asking for us by name! They are gong to miss several from last year. We had a great church service - our medical team gave great testimonies and Paul preached. We ate pizza late back here in Rio Preto with a lot of friends. Several of us made a midnight walk to the supermarket to get water and a few supplies and then we all crashed.
We got up early this morning and had church here (it was Pastor's Day here in Brazil and they honored all their pastors and Paul with skits, songs, poems, and gifts). We, of course, did not understand most of it. :) We stayed after and Paul and Daniel taught a marriage Sunday School class.
We just returned from eating and several have left for a coffee run. We convinced all the first timers to eat a chicken heart (like is tradition!). Jennifer and Daniel 'tasted' theirs. We have decided they wimped out. We will be having big church tonight here in Rio Preto as they do their Sunday services backwards from us. The big, formal service is in the evening. It is always wonderful and our new guys are going to blown away by the music. I think they step it up for us. Paul is preaching and I think we all have to get up and sing.
We are planning on adding several pictures before we leave for church tonight. All are well and in great spirits. The team is functioning as one!
