Friday Morning

We had a great turn out for VBS Friday morning - especially considering these kids were not captive in school. They came on their own through our invites and the work of the local church. We had about 50 children. They had a blast doing multiple crafts and hearing a combined, double lesson. We had every age and several that we visited with during the week made their friends come with them. They are very competitive and very good sports. We could really have fun with them and joke around during game time. We were supposed to end at 11:00 but we were going strong and went past 12:00. They are more fun than lunch anyway! We served them cookies and drinks - and yes - left over pancakes. We couldn't pay one little girl to take one on this day. She had 12 on pancake night. I think she learned what happens when you don't pace yourself with American pancakes.
