Monday - Day 1, Part 2

I got some great info from the medical team today from their first day. Please read below and see the pictures. It is probably for the best that Paul and Kristen are on different teams as they had to be separated today on the bus over a 'Kris Allen' disagreement. You decide who was on which side.

Hello Everyone!

Monday was quite exciting! The Brazilians are so loving and grateful for medical attention. I have even been promised buffalo milk this afternoon for a gift...um, can't wait. Caring for these patients reminds me of how small we are and how big God is! Having so much fun with this crazy group...making the most of EVERY SECOND! Please continue to pray for us. Also, Carlee is quite the "celebrity" here. The children love her. Her nickname is 'rock star Carlee'. Chow for now!! We love you! Monday's medical clinic: 38 patients, 36 haircuts, 6 manicures.

Our first day of clinic started slow, but quickly got busy. Diane went out and bought balloons, wrote info about the medical team on them, and passed them out everywhere! Kristen and Aliceann took many blood pressures, checked many blood sugars, and assessed many children and adults. They even learned some new medical words in Portuguese! Shelly and Philip did an awesome job! They took care of people with high blood pressure, skin problems, cold symptoms, and many other problems. The Lord was with us today. Four people accepted Christ! We are thankful for the First Baptist Rio Preto church members who helped with translation, provided hair cuts, hygiene advice, law advice, and spreading God's Word to the people of Nova Granada.
