People are Watching

From Glenn:

We have had many blessings while in Brazil and one of those is an ice cream shop not far from the hotel.  We have been there a few times and were in there tonight. The three ladies working there asked Pastor Daniel about us as we were all leaving.  They said that other Americans they have meet were "standoffish and not very friendly" but that we were different.  They said she wished we would come in every night.  They wanted to know why we were acting so different and friendly.  This opened a door.  Pastor Daniel said that we were here for a specific purpose and that it was just a natural outpouring of what we had inside.

 

While at the schools our bus driver stood in the doorway of the classrooms while we presented the cubes.  He was confused as to why we would come this far and show the children more love and attention than they got at home.  He could not understand how we could hug on the kids in one day more than Their own parents ever do. I think I just heard another door open.  We know he heard the message and God is working on him.  In God's time, he will become part of our family and may already have.

 

From Philip:

We had a great time in the schools yesterday sharing in front of hundreds of students (over 1200) the gospel message through the cube.  I got to hear several members of the team go through the cube (I even heard Carlee go through the cube and she did a great job).  This was out of the comfort zone for most of us including me - but God never let us down and always gave us the words to say.

 

We had a blast fixing over 1300 pancakes for the pancake supper (I think I flipped at least 400 myself - at least it felt like it!!)  It was wonderfull to see several people come back at the end to take some home for their families.  Hopefully that will show God's love to some who were not even there.
